This conference is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses as well as Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physicians, and Physician Assistants in all settings regarding how to assess, manage and treat topics covered in this conference. This year the focus is on: Billing and ICD-11 Coding, medically supervised weight loss, “My Transgender Child” – personal story, providing care to transgender and nonconforming patients, pharmacology updates with highlights across the lifespan, and updates on national guidelines.

- One breakout is a hands-on introduction to ultrasound guided joint injections and
- The other option is psychiatry - autism spectrum disorder and suicide prevention.
The Advanced Practice and Assessment Skills Workshop (On-demand), is a self-paced canvas course where students can learn timely information by completing one, a few or all 10 modules. The aim of this course is to enhance the knowledge and skills of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Physicians, and Physician Assistants in all settings regarding assessment, management and treatment of timely course topics listed in the Get Started menu below.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be prepared to self report the following learning outcomes:
- Increased knowledge related to the assessment of health conditions using the latest-evidence-based practices and tools
- Increased confidence in enhanced clinical assessment when treating the health conditions covered in this course
- An ability to list one assessment or treatment practice change that reflects new knowledge or new evidence-based recommendations
