LAKE OZARK, Mo. – Women’s health and welfare leaders, experts and innovators are invited to submit proposals for presentations and panel discussion for “#Elevate: An Empowering Educational Experience for Women,” set for March 2, 2024, at the Lodge of the Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

The free event is organized by women leaders in central and southwestern Missouri in partnership with University of Missouri Extension and the Missouri Small Business Development Center at State Fair Community College.

“Our committee is excited to hear from experts who are eager to share their knowledge, ideas and experiences to inspire women from all across Missouri,” said Ashley Brown, MU Extension regional economic development specialist.

Brown says the event is intended to “provide experiences, connections and tools designed to inspire each participant to elevate her thinking, being and doing so that she can create her best, most well-lived personal and professional life.”

The event seeks to draw from the expertise and experiences of health practitioners and health care institutions, financial and legal experts, education professionals, entrepreneurs and others invested in serving not only the needs but also the aspirations of women throughout Missouri, she said.

Proposals should be for presentations and discussions up to 45 minutes in length. One presentation will be selected for the keynote luncheon. Four presenters will be selected to serve on the closing session expert panel.

“Presentations developed on a foundation of concrete research, tangible evidence, relevant examples and relatable stories are highly encouraged,” said Brown.
